The Gallo Center for the Arts houses two performance venues, the 1248-seat Mary Stuart Rogers Theater and the 440-seat Foster Family Theater. Each is a proscenium theater with a legitimate stage and fly loft. Both theaters have orchestra pits, stage aprons, and scene docks, and are equipped with modern audio-visual, rigging, drapery, lighting control, orchestra pit lift, and orchestra shell systems, allowing for a wide range of acoustical, scenic and staging manipulation.

The Marie Damrell Gallo Grand Lobby, the Gallo Center Plaza, and the Modesto Rotary Music Garden are all also available as event spaces. The Marie Damrell Gallo Grand Lobby has housed annual meetings, evening events, and luncheons, and can accommodate 1000 standing guests on the first floor alone. Opened in 2021, the Modesto Rotary Music Garden is a popular downtown destination serving local families, nearby office professionals and tourists alike. This outdoor flexible-use space is often home to free public arts programs throughout the year, but is available along with the full outdoor plaza for large-scale events.
