Modesto Rotary Music Garden

This free-to-use public space, located on the front lawn of the Gallo Center’s plaza, is meant to encourage and inspire creativity while also providing an intimate outdoor concert venue in the heart of downtown Modesto.

Opened in April 2021, this vibrant outdoor community space located on the front lawn of the Gallo Center plaza consists of a variety of permanent large-scale percussion instruments meant to encourage and inspire creativity—by families from across the city, nearby office workers and Modesto visitors, too.

The Music Garden stage is home to the popular Brown Bag Summer Concert Series, showcasing local musicians performing acoustic sets. These lunchtime concerts are free to the public on Fridays throughout the summer.

MoRo Funding for the Music Garden came from the Modesto Rotary Club in celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Porges Family Foundation, O'Dell Engineering and Odyssey Landscape Company, as well as other generous families and individuals.

Returning for its third year at the outdoor Modesto Rotary Music Garden, it’s our series of free lunchtime concerts by top local musical artists, with some familiar faces and exciting new acts, too!
